Sukkot is a seven-day holiday starting this year on October 9 (in the evening) and concluding on October 16
Sukkot is followed by Shmini Atzeret & Simchat Torah.
Every day of Sukkot (except Shabbat) we observe the special Mitzvah to take the arba minim ("four species"), and make a special blessing before shaking them together towards all directions. This expresses our joy and thanks to Hashem (who is everywhere) for all the good he has bestowed upon us, signifying our deep connection with Hashem!
What are the four species?
A palm branch (lulav) , two willows (aravot) , a minimum of three myrtles (hadassim) and one citron (etrog) .
Please treat your set with TLC; they're fragile goods!
If you don't have a set, and would like to do this mitzvah, please contact us at: [email protected] .
Chag Sameach!
